Personally, I feel that Yoga should be on the curriculum, but I would say that, I am a Yoga teacher!
My Mission is to make Yoga accessible for all, and that requires me being able to teach as many children as possible.
I attend schools for full days and half days to introduce children (and teachers) to this essential life skill in good health.
Children are experiencing anxiety & depression from a very young age and it is our duty, as the lead generation to help them protect themselves and live peacefully.

To find out how I can help you and your school either message me here or scroll down.

i work with schools & educational establishments to provide yoga, meditation & mindful practices, assisting teachers & carers to provide this valuable life skill.

Yoga for Children

Sian Lee - William Alvey School

'Jo delivered some wonderful yoga sessions to a group of 10-11 years olds.  Children can feel some pressure in Year 6, and as a teacher, I was amazed by how the ... session completely transformed the children’s outlook. Jo's clear instructions and friendly nature engaged all of the pupils, leaving the children in a much calmer place than at the start of the class.

The session gave instant benefits with many of the children commenting about how great they felt afterwards. I have since seen several children use some of the techniques taught to cope in different situations – a valuable tool for life.  I wouldn’t hesitate to use yoga again the classroom – thank you Jo Yoga!'

Since the age of 7,  [my daughter ] has attended Jo's weekly classes; benefiting hugely from both the mental and physical elements of yoga.
Jo is a fantastic inspirer and role model, using her influence mindfully as she gently and expertly guides her young yogis.

I can’t speak highly enough of Jo and her Yoga sessions. She just gets the pupils, is so inclusive and makes every single one of us so welcome. The pupils massively benefit from the Yoga sessions and absolutely love it. I can definitely tell that they are so relaxed and calm after the session.

TESTIMONIALS

Fun, flexible and innovative classes in which yoga is introduced in a playful manner.

Children are encouraged to be confident and clear whilst learning respect for themselves and others. Yoga will nurture focus, strength & concentration, even at these early stages of their development.

Games, stories, postures & mantras are used to engage their imagination & creativity.

Pre Schoolers

At this age children are beginning to learn about their bodies and breath; they understand the philosophy of Yoga.

This is a 30 – 45 minute class.

The children are taken through a fun and dynamic class using traditional yoga practices and games, moving deeper into postures.

Meditation and relaxation becomes more relevant as they deal school pressures.

Key Stages 1 & 2

The transition from child to adult, alongside school & exam pressures (and pretending that I knew what I wanted to be when I ‘grew up’) all amounted to some tearful nights.

Teens Need Yoga!!

The yoga studio will allow them to recharge, download emotions and reset their energy systems ready for the next challenge they will face.

My teen classes are run very much in line with an adult class, working on the breath, postures, alignment, strength and that all important calming relaxation.

Key Stage 3 & 4

I have have been inundated with messages from my colleagues saying what a fantastic day yesterday was, I just wanted to thank you personally and let you know how much they all enjoyed it.
